Muscle mass naturally decreases as we age, making normal daily activities more difficult. Muscle mass decreases approximately 3–8% per decade after the age of 30, and this rate of decline is even higher after the age of 60. Fortunately, these changes are completely reversible! Current exercise science tells us that with regular resistance training, we can reverse the natural effects of aging on our muscle strength and even our bone density!
Meet Christina Germaine
Christina loves to move. From gymnastics to ballet to martial arts, her hobbies always involve high level activity.
When she found herself with unexpected free time in the Spring of 2020, she seized the opportunity to get her Personal Trainer Certification with NASM. As she began training clients in her community, she realized she loved introducing other women to the benefits of resistance training. As an actor and an artist, she found that her path as a personal trainer is the perfect complement to support her artistic pursuits. She is also very active in the independent theatre, filmmaking, and music scene in her community, and is the co-founder of Houghton Hall Arts Community.
